The Carpenters Union has been in the Granite state since the late 1800s when the first NH local was chartered by the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America in 1886. The current local, Local 118, was chartered on April 20, 2006, and borrows its number from the first local ever chartered in New Hampshire, tying us to our history, and to all the workers who have fought for fair treatment and dignity on the job since 1886.
Local #118 has approximately 400 members. These dedicated men and women help to build the hospitals, schools, bridges, municipal offices, and business of today and tomorrow. They live, work, and volunteer in their communities.
